Reggae - The Marvels - Rock Steady - Soul
Classic soul number given that Doo-Wop/Reggae groove by The Marvels. The group also provided backing vocals to many tracks by Dandy Livingstone before they released this classic on Pama Supreme in 1971.
BeatWell records started in 1996 as a subsidiary to our club night The Buzz. Through it we released limited edition promotional albums for our members and guests that were used to highlight the styles of music we were promoting. As we were an underground music night we catered for everything from 1950’s DooWop & Rock and Roll through to Rare Soul & R&B, Surf, Garage Punk, Freakbeat, Deep Funk, Latin, Exotica, Hammond Groove, Brit Pop, Ska, YaYa, Popcorn, Boogaloo, Rocksteady and so much more.
We also started to release tracks from bands that played live for us during the last 12 years. We started this Blog to re-release some of these forgotten gems for future generations. If you played at The Buzz during this time please get in touch and we will publish that demo for the entire world to hear. If you want to track down that elusive Buzz Promo CD you have lost you will find it here.
We also plan provide access to all those forgotten demos from bands that submit stuff to us. Please get in contact through the email address if you have something you think we might like. If you want to help us in this task please email us and we can give you publishing access to this Blog to upload some of your won material.
If for some reason one of the download links is broken please let us know and we will resurrect it for you.
